What is meditation?
There are numerous ways to conceive of meditation. On one hand, it is a technique to focus and calm the mind to become familiar with yourself. Ultimately recognizing the nature of our true Being.
Many have an image of meditation, sitting in a lotus position for hours. That’s simply not the case. I began meditation on a daily basis after a journey to Southeast Asia in 2004, I was there for seven weeks. I started each morning sitting quietly focusing on my breath. With consistent daily practice it became a healthy habit that’s been a part of my life ever since. I'm so grateful for my meditation practice because I find myself more calm, peaceful and balanced. It’s a great technique to incorporate in your life when you're feeling distracted, stressed, or overwhelmed.
